Our 2024 limited release of 4 year cask strength Uncle Bogue Bourbon is a chapter not to be missed.

Our farm grown Jimmy red corn bourbon has rested in French oak Touriga wine barrels supplied by our friends at Wolf Mountain Winery here in Georgia. Touriga Nacional is a thick-skinned grape variety originating in Portugal that grows perfectly here in the Georgia sunshine. Known for their rich color and excellent aging potential, Touriga wines are naturally floral and fruity–ripe blackcurrants and raspberries, with subtle herbiness and the delicate floral fragrance.

After a year of aging in these magical Touriga barrels, we blended our bourbon with seven-year-old OZ Tyler bourbon and then aged it again in an OZ Tyler American white oak spiral barrel to allow the oak flavors to deepen.

Bottled at cask strength, the result is extraordinary–a stunning collision of flavors that brings out the best of both worlds. Our rich, high-rye bourbon meets the complexity of the Touriga wine, crowned with a smoothness that will delight even the most cultured palate.

Aroma: Caramel, maple syrup, ripe black berries

Taste: Blackberry jam, ripe stone fruits such as peach and plum, layered with maple syrup and sweet caramel.

Taste: Complex and lengthy with ripe fruits lingering behind warm maple syrup.
